Terms of Service

Welcome to "Piqi" (the "App"). By using the App you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. What the App does
The App turns cooking videos, images and text that you provide yourself into structured, step-by-step recipes using artificial intelligence, so you can browse, cook from and archive them.
2. Content you submit
You must have the right to submit it
Only upload videos and images you shot yourself, or that you otherwise have the right to use.
⚠️ Do not upload other people's work that you downloaded, screen-recorded or re-filmed. Copyright in that material belongs to its author, and uploading it may infringe their rights. You are responsible for what you submit. The App provides no feature for scraping content from third-party platforms.
Who owns it
The content you submit and the recipes generated from it belong to you. We claim no ownership and will not use them for anything beyond providing the service — including training our own models (we do not have any).
We use your content only as necessary to provide the service. Original material is deleted once processing completes; see the Privacy Policy.
What you must not submit
Anything unlawful, anything that violates another person's privacy, sexual content, violent content, and anything you do not have the right to submit.
3. ⚠️ Important notice about recipes and food safety
Recipes generated by the App are produced automatically by artificial intelligence and can be wrong.
The App may misread quantities, skip steps, misjudge heat and timing, or fail to identify an ingredient. It is especially likely to be inaccurate where food safety is involved: cooking temperatures, doneness, curing and marinating times, fermentation, canning and preserving, foraged ingredients, and alcohol.
Accordingly:
- **Everything the App produces is for reference only and is not food safety,
nutritional or medical advice.**
- You should use your own judgment before cooking, and you are responsible for
the result.
- Nutrition figures are estimates and must not be used for any medical,
disease-management or dietary-treatment purpose.
- If you have food allergies, a chronic condition or any other health concern,
follow your doctor's advice rather than the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of content produced by the App.
4. Subscriptions
Pricing, term and renewal rules are described in the Subscription Terms.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- submit requests in bulk by automated means, or otherwise circumvent usage quotas
- reverse engineer, break into or interfere with the App or its servers
- resell the service to third parties
- use the App for any unlawful activity
We may limit or terminate your access without notice if you breach any of the above.
6. Availability
The App depends on network connectivity and third-party services (including AI providers and Apple). We do not guarantee that the service will always be available or uninterrupted, and we may change or discontinue features at any time.
We will try to give advance notice of significant changes, but may be unable to where force majeure, a third-party outage or a security incident requires immediate action.
7. Accounts
Using the App requires signing in with Apple or Google. There is no separate username or password, and we never receive your Apple or Google password — our server holds only an anonymous identifier (something like u_1a2b3c4d).
Once you are signed in, your recipe library is synced to our servers so that you can recover it after changing phones or reinstalling. The details and retention periods are in the Privacy Policy.
You can delete your account — together with that server-side copy of your recipe library — at any time from Settings › Delete Account. This is irreversible.

You are responsible for activity under your account. Please write to us promptly if you believe someone else is using it.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data; and our total liability is limited to the amount you actually paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain implied warranties or the limitation of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
9. Changes to these terms
If these terms change we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept it.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law rules. The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute informally; failing that, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of Maryland, and both parties consent to jurisdiction there.
